Sharon Peters has worked in drug and alcohol services in London since the year 2000. She worked in residential, homelessness, prescribing and front-line services. She set up, developed and managed projects including a specialist crack cocaine service and a criminal justice day DRR (Drug, Rehabilitation, Requirement) program. Sharon has a Bachelor degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Addictions and Counseling and the RCGP (prescribing). She is also and auricular acupuncturist with NADA.
Sharon used heroin, alcohol and other drugs for over twenty years before finding recovery in a 12-step program. She has an extensive knowledge of addiction and recovery, gained from both personal, professional and academic experience.
She is passionate about her work and guiding people into recovery. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, dancing, reading, swimming, cycling and the cinema.
