Licensed as a mental health counselor, over his 25-year career Brian has made a successful career out of helping others in their journeys of recovery from mental illnesses and Substance Misuse Disorders. With a strong background in Transpersonal Psychology, he brings a unique approach to psychotherapy. Brian utilizes a diverse background of treatment modalities including dialectical and cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, EMDR, and psychodynamic techniques blended with archetypal theory. He also employs music therapy and facilitates drum circles in varied settings.

Brian began as a clinician in Intensive Outpatient Programs in the States of Vermont and New Jersey, USA. Working at the biggest teaching hospital in Vermont, Brian taught CBT to Psychiatry resident MDs and was an adjunct professor in psychology at the University of Vermont. While maintaining a private practice in Vermont, Brian served as lead clinician at the counseling center of a state college, and taught counseling practicum and theory at the graduate level.

Serving as a psychotherapist previously with international luxury rehabilitation centers in Malaysia, Thailand and the famous Crossroads Centre Antigua, West Indies, Brian brings an interesting, person-centered approach to healing and strives to bring clients to their Higher Self.

Advocacy work in recent years includes volunteering at a refugee Buddhist meditation center in Burma, teaching at a boarding school in Kathmandu, aiding an organic tea farm on the Nepal/India border and homesteading in Turkey. He looks forward to more of this work in the future.
